quick update

we have been so busy this last week with work. including travel time it is a 9.5hour day for me, then i cook supper eat and literally go to sleep.
i am even so tired right now that i am prob gonna make this a short note and type properly on the weekend again.
we haven't even really seen each other much, i leave at 7am and get home around 5:30/6 and morne is sleeping when i leave, and then he leaves for work at 10 and comes home between 7-9 depending on how busy they are.
i am going to apply for a job closer to home, that means more interviews and all that. but there is a good possibility that i will get something in bracknel which is close by in a car.
and the pay is much better.
morne works sat and sundays too. which is a huge bummer. but i got to play badminton all weekend with one of the youngsters who stays here.
i was so stiff the next day- i'm still stiff.

i went to a cell for the first time last night. it was great. i really enjoyed it. it is very much like the cell i used to run back home. the leader , Vasti, is the same age as i am. and all of her girls are around my age too.
it has really been a great support and strength to have so many genuine people around me all the time who are so God focused.
for now, i am gonna sleep. in my happy place.
love you all and miss you.

We're here!!!

Wow where do I start…
This whole experience has been so God filled.
I said to my mom in an sms, I feel like God is following me.
We came to our new home. You can view the pics on our picasa site.
It is fantastic here. A communal kitchen and living room. A sitting room and cinema room. Our own bedroom and on suite.
The people are so fantastic. We have met so many friendly Christians.
The couple that we were originally connected to have just had a baby so we haven’t had time with them yet.
But we went to lunch with a family on Sunday after church. It was fantastic, great conversation and sincere hearts.
Everyone here talks about the Lord all the time. You can’t help but be God focused.

The most fascinating things so far are the fact that the sun sets at 9pm and it stays light out until 10pm.
The gardens are lovely with all different coloured birds flying around.
We went to feed the swans last night- that was fantastic. Hundred or so of them. They are huge and beautiful.
It was like a fairytale. They started to chase Morne, heehe. They followed him down the road. He has a video of it and some great pictures you can see them on picasa too.
A cup of coffee here at a coffee shop is around R40. hectic hey?

So right now we are both hunting for jobs and praying for God’s guidance, so please keep us in your prayers.

Love you all.
Louise and Morne.
